Unite, celebrate, and help build resilient communities and a healthier planet! Be a part of the 14th One Earth Film Festival official launch on April 22nd, 2025, at Chicago’s thoughtfully modern Sarabande–located steps away from the Chicago River. It’s the perfect time on our planet and the perfect party backdrop to celebrate the power found in unity, as we rally around our essential yet endangered natural resources.

A chance to escape, recharge, and party with like-minded filmmakers and advocates in a stunning space
Gourmet plant-based heavy hors d'oeuvres, sweet treats, and sips
An inspiring toast from the illustrious 2025 OEFF filmmakers
A short, rich program celebrating our Chicago River and local waterways, including opening remarks from the City of Chicago Chief Sustainability Officer and Commissioner of the Department of Environment, Angela Tovar; a screening of One Earth’s Young Filmmakers Contest winner Bohdana Bihdan’s film, Ocean Monologue; an honor song for the Chicago River by Ronnie Preston, San Carlos Apache and American Indian Center’s Cultural Ambassador, and more.
The program will include a brief keynote address about the Chicago River, delivered by the award-winning Shermann “Dilla” Thomas – Chicago’s favorite historian, viral TikTok sensation, and author and host of Everything Dope About America Comes From Chicago.
A Chicago River-themed interactive art experience featuring Nowhere Collective’s Loom360; GUESTS ARE INVITED TO PLEASE BRING TEXTILES TO RECYCLE (especially in colors blue and white).The chance to win a smart, stylish, and sustainable Radio Flyer Folding Cargo Bike and other incredible prizes

It's possible from downtown to take the blue line from downtown, get off at Belmont, transfer to the 77 Bus at Belmont and Kimball, and get off at Belmont and California. It's approximately a 0.3-mile walk from the bus stop from there.
